CUSTOMIZABLE PROGRAMS

LESSONS FROM LITTLE BIGHORN

A powerful leadership model, Sitting Bull, is the central figure in this workshop. This program was designed to teach leaders the power of persuasion, tools to reach people at all levels, the importance of serving as a role model, and ways to communicate your values and vision.

We've been offering this program in Billings, Montana since 1994. The nearby Little Bighorn Battlefield is set on the high, rolling plains, with no nearby cities to ruin the historic view. Our Lakota tour guide takes us from the river view of opening shots fired into the Indian encampment, up into the hills for panorama views of the concluding battles with Custer’s 7th Cavalry.

LESSONS FROM ANTIETAM

The Battle of Antietam, fought on September 17, 1862, was the bloodiest single day in all of American history, with more than 23,000 men killed, wounded, or missing.

This crucial Civil War battle provides a natural forum for managers working in a world of rapid change, weighing the use of limited resources (people, supplies, time and equipment), as well as the challenges of unclear direction, lack of communication, emotional and political issues in the workplace.

Walk the terrain and you will see how difficult it was to make decisions under pressure, then discuss how your workplace mirrors some of the same challenges.  Find solutions from the many leadership examples on the field.

This program is suitable for all level of managers, from mid-level managers to senior executives.

LESSONS FROM FREDERICKSBURG

One of our most popular battlefield programs, this workshop was designed for team building, improving communications, and creative problem-solving.

Working in teams, participants analyze the lessons from both Confederate and Union armies. Discussions are not limited to generals, however, but include leaders from every level, including civilian volunteers who stepped in to do the necessary work of providing medical services and supplies.

This 2-3 day seminar can be tailored for your needs. Held in historic Fredericksburg, Virginia (just an hour from Washington, DC and Richmond, Virginia), it includes a battlefield tour of the second largest military park in the world—the Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park.

WORKING WITH YOU IS KILLING ME

Based on the popular book by the same name, this workshop is a hit with employees and managers at all levels.

We've all worked with someone who makes work impossible. But it doesn't have to be that way. This powerful program, based on the national best-selling book, teaches employees and managers how to tame a toxic co-worker by setting boundaries.

From chronic complainers to idea-stealers, boundary pushers to just plain jerks, a toxic co-worker can ruin your day — and your life!

Everyone — including the lucky few who’ve never had to work with a difficult person — will benefit from this program. It brilliantly portrays how employees on any career path and at any level of an organization can be undone by a problem co-worker. The amount of time spent worrying, avoiding, raging and obsessing over toxic employees can affect performance on the job and peace at home.

Harvard trained psychotherapist Katherine Crowley has teamed up with business consultant Kathi Elster to develop a guidebook to effective countermeasures for an emotionally toxic workplace.  And the movie case studies bring their problems (and resolutions) to life.
